The entry to the ground floor of this 1970s building is indented, creating a vast open arcade. The ground floor is occupied by commercial establishments, as well as by the restaurant La Trattoria. Prior to this project, to access the restaurant one had to go through the building’s main entrance and corridor.
By the initiative of the establishment, the condominium agreed to alter this entrance in order to create a nearly independent, and much closer, access to the restaurant.
The projected consisted in the construction of a reinforced concrete stairwell. The entrance’s decorative concrete flower pots had to be cut in order to fit the new construction, but their lateral sides were kept to maintain the building’s exterior image.
